The Court of Appeal, Abuja, upheld Alhaji Tajudeen Ibikunle Baruwa as the rightful President of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), dismissing the appeal by MC Oluomo’s loyalists.
The judgment aligned with an earlier National Industrial Court ruling recognizing Baruwa’s presidency.
The court fined the appellants N100,000 for their challenge. Baruwa criticized MC Oluomo’s attempts at leadership as contempt of court.
He called on law enforcement to uphold the decision to maintain peace and order within the union.
