Dangote Refinery Cuts PMS Price to ₦739 as Nationwide Sales Begin

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit at **₦739 per litre** through more than 2,000 MRS filling stations.

The move marks a major intervention in the downstream market, aiming to reduce fuel costs, stabilize supply, and curb festive-season scarcity.

Backed by a guaranteed daily output of **50 million litres**, the refinery urged marketers to adopt the new pricing structure in the interest of economic recovery. It warned against artificial scarcity or speculative hoarding, describing such acts as unpatriotic.

The company highlighted the broader economic benefits of local refining at scale, including reduced exposure to global price volatility, FX conservation, and improved Naira stability.

Nigerians were advised to avoid purchasing overpriced fuel and to report any MRS station selling above ₦739.

Dangote reaffirmed its commitment to long-term price moderation and steady supply, emphasising that its operations serve national interest rather than short-term market gains.
