The Federal Government, in collaboration with the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), has initiated a framework to advance Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) initiatives.
The one-day workshop, organized by the Development Research and Projects Centre (dRPC), aimed to foster dialogue among stakeholders and identify effective indicators for monitoring and evaluating WEE projects nationwide. Stanley Ukpai, Director of Projects at dRPC, emphasized the significance of the workshop in enhancing methods for women’s economic empowerment.
The workshop sought to revise and validate indicators for monitoring WEE programs, aligning with the government’s commitment to promoting gender equality and inclusive economic development.
Participants deliberated on feasible indicators to maximize the impact of WEE interventions, ensuring sustainability and stakeholder satisfaction with policy outcomes.
The initiative reflects concerted efforts to address gender disparities and promote women’s participation in socio-economic activities, driving inclusive growth and development.
