FG, Indonesia Sign Agreement for Coal-Based Fertilizer Plant

The Federal Government of Nigeria and the government of Indonesia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a coal-based fertilizer plant in Nigeria.

The agreement aims to support agricultural production and enhance food security in the country.
The signing ceremony involved the National Agency for Science and Engineering Technology (NASENI) and the Indonesian company, PT Saputra Global Harvest.

The collaboration includes the supply of machinery and equipment for producing coal-based fertilizer in Nigeria, capacity development through training Nigerian personnel, and licensing for the production of high-quality coal-based fertilizer.
The initiative aligns with Nigeria’s focus on food security and agricultural transformation.
