NNPC Seeks Private Firms to Revitalize Warri, Kaduna Refineries

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has announced plans to partner with private firms to manage and operate its Warri and Kaduna refineries.

This strategic move aims to ensure the reliability and sustainability of these facilities to meet Nigeria’s fuel supply and energy security needs.

In a circular released on Thursday, NNPC outlined a three-stage tender process for interested companies.
The Warri refinery, commissioned in 1978, and the Kaduna refinery, commissioned in 1980, are both crucial to the nation’s energy infrastructure.

NNPC’s decision to involve private operators is seen as a bid to revamp these refineries and optimize their performance.
