The Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Nigeria (RAIN) has announced the RAIN Tech Summit 1.0, set to be the largest gathering of AI and robotics innovators in Nigeria.
The summit, scheduled for January 25, 2025, at Aweni Arena Event Centre, Ibadan, will be inaugurated by Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
According to RAIN CEO Olusola Ayoola, the event will inspire innovation, showcase groundbreaking projects, and foster industry connections. Communications Minister Bosun Tijani will deliver the keynote address on the theme,
“The RAIN of Transformation Is Upon Us: CEOs Arise!” Other speakers include Abiodun Aibinu, Vice-Chancellor of Summit University, who will discuss challenges faced by hardware startups, and Olu Akanmu of Lagos Business School, who will share insights on building resilient tech businesses.
Panel discussions will explore Nigeria’s tech ecosystem, featuring industry leaders like Chuks Ekwueme of Uniccon Group and AutogonAI’s Obi Ebuka David.
The summit will also host a competition involving 194 teams, judged by experts like Bunmi Ajala of the National Centre for AI and Robotics.
The event promises to be a pivotal moment for Nigeria’s tech industry, bringing together leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to shape the future of AI and robotics in the country.
