President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has praised the collaboration between NNPC and NIPCO Gas Limited to produce Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations nationwide.
The partnership aims to expand Nigeria’s CNG infrastructure, providing a cleaner and cheaper alternative fuel for vehicles.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the 350MW Gwagwalada Independent Thermal Power Plant (Phase 1), Tinubu emphasized the importance of addressing power challenges and harnessing Nigeria’s gas resources to boost economic growth.
The project is part of an incremental 3,600MW cumulative power initiative along the Abuja, Kaduna, and Kano gas pipeline corridors, contributing to uninterrupted power supply and job creation.
