Senator Ned Nwoko has confirmed that the widely circulated toxicology and medical reports on his estranged wife, actress Regina Daniels, are authentic.
A statement from his communication office said multiple medical facilities recorded “dangerously high” levels of marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates and alcohol during separate examinations—findings consistent across all reports.
According to the statement, Regina was rushed unconscious to Nizamiya Hospital on October 3 after an alleged drug overdose.
The rehabilitation centre treating her also reportedly raised concerns over interference by some of her siblings, whom it accused of supplying her with alcohol and cannabis during therapy, making recovery impossible.
The statement emphasised that the institutions did not leak the reports but only clarified confidentiality obligations.
It added that the Senator’s insistence on continued rehabilitation stems from concern for Regina’s safety and that of their two young sons.
Nwoko’s office said Regina’s recent online behaviour reflects vulnerability and poor mental stability, adding that private interventions had failed.
It argued that the severity of the substances detected and the documented emergency episode made silence impossible.
The statement concluded that Regina needs sustained treatment and protection, not “denial, interference or enabling.”
