The Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) has suspended its planned nationwide strike after the Federal Government agreed to restore allowances and address salary arrears.
The decision followed emergency talks and renewed assurances on welfare payments, including implementation of the Professional Allowance Table and release of training funds.
While the move averts another healthcare disruption, doctors warned that failure to fully implement the agreements could trigger fresh industrial action.
