FG Initiates Security Surveillance System for Abuja-Kaduna Highway

The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Badaru, has inaugurated an 8-man committee tasked with providing and installing a security surveillance system along the Abuja-Kaduna highway and rail line.
The move aims to address the frequent security breaches along these routes. The committee, headed by the Director Joint Services in the ministry, includes members from various security agencies.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing safety on major transportation routes, with a specific focus on the Abuja-Kaduna corridor.
The committee has been given 18 months to complete the assignment, which includes sourcing an appropriate security surveillance system meeting technical specifications and ensuring its successful installation.
