The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) will deploy 30,000 personnel nationwide to safeguard national assets during the planned protest against soaring living costs.
Commandant-General Dr. Abubakar Ahmed Audi announced the deployment at a meeting in Abuja, citing concerns over potential criminal activities during the protest.
While recognizing the right to peaceful demonstration, the NSCDC warns against violence and property damage, urging the public to remain peaceful and patient with the government’s efforts to address economic challenges.
