Kaduna State Police Command has dismantled two bandits’ hideouts in Makarfi Local Government Area, a move that brings some relief to residents who have lived in fear of attacks.
The operation, carried out in collaboration with the Kaduna State Vigilance Service, led to the destruction of the camps and the recovery of items believed to be used for criminal activities.
Police spokesperson Hassan confirmed the success of the raid, noting that normalcy has been restored in the area.
This comes as security forces intensify efforts to curb banditry and kidnapping in the North-West region, where communities have repeatedly come under attack.
Residents have welcomed the development but are calling for sustained operations to completely flush out criminal elements.
