Striking members of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) have temporarily suspended their planned nationwide protest, originally set to commence on August 9, 2023.
The decision follows a series of meetings with President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly leadership.
The National President of NARD, Dr Emeka Orji, confirmed the suspension and stated that the government requested 24 hours to address the urgent demands raised by the doctors.
