Governor Alex Otti of Abia State has pledged to apprehend the killers of five soldiers at Obikabia Junction, Obingwa Local Government Area.
Speaking during a condolence visit to the 144 Infantry Battalion in Ukwa West, Otti assured the families of the fallen soldiers that the state government would collaborate with security agencies to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Otti announced support packages for the soldiers’ families, including scholarships for their children. He commended the Nigeria Army for managing the initial panic and preventing a reprisal attack.
“We will smoke out those responsible, no matter where they hide,” Otti stated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to working with military intelligence to ensure justice.
