The pan-Yoruba group Afenifere has criticized President Bola Tinubu for failing to address the root causes of the nationwide hunger protests.
Afenifere’s spokesperson, Prince Justice Faloye, condemned Tinubu’s policies, particularly the removal of fuel subsidies and floating of the naira, as exacerbating the crisis.
The group’s disappointment stems from the President’s perceived indifference to the public’s plight, with Faloye accusing him of sticking to harmful neo-liberal policies and failing to offer solutions or show remorse.
