Army Chief Commends Troops: Over 50,000 Soldiers Deployed Nationwide for Peacekeeping

Lt.-Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, the Chief of Army Staff, has revealed that more than 50,000 soldiers are currently engaged in peacekeeping operations across Nigeria.

According to him, the troops are involved in various internal security operations, addressing challenges such as counter-terrorism, separatist activities, and combating oil theft.

The army chief expressed gratitude to the soldiers for their sacrifices during the festive season and outlines plans for a more secure environment in 2024, including the delivery of combat enablers and welfare projects.
