Former Sokoto Governor, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa, has launched the Northern Star Empowerment Initiative to address challenges in northern Nigeria, including insecurity, poverty, and unemployment.
The non-political organization aims to guide youth into leadership roles while fostering unity across ethnic and religious divides.
“If we want peace, we must guide our youth,” Bafarawa said in an interview with BBC Hausa.
The initiative, backed by religious leaders and community stakeholders, seeks to empower young Northerners to reclaim their rights and build a prosperous future.
Bafarawa assured members of support in pursuing leadership opportunities, emphasizing his commitment to the region’s development.
