Bandits Raid Niger Community After Military Withdrawal, Steal Foodstuffs

Bandits have raided Allawa Community in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, stealing foodstuffs and valuables, just three days after the military withdrew its soldiers.

Residents, who had fled the community following the withdrawal, reported that the bandits arrived on Sunday morning with trucks and motorcycles, loading up foodstuffs, goats, and other valuables.

The residents, who are currently seeking refuge at Central Primary School, Erena, are facing hunger and lack of space to sleep.

They are calling on the federal and state governments to intervene and provide assistance, especially for women and children.
