The Defence Headquarters has refuted false reports circulating on social media suggesting the death of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa. Brigadier General Tukur Gusau, the Director of Defence Information, clarified that General Musa is alive, in good health, and has returned from a foreign mission to resume his duties.
The Defence Headquarters condemned the misleading publication, emphasizing that the Chief of Defence Staff continues to lead with vigor in advancing the interests of the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The online newspaper responsible for the false report retracted the story and issued an apology.
