Court Frees Binance Executive as FG Drops Charges

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the release of Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance Holdings executive, from Kuje Correctional Centre after the Federal Government dropped charges against him.
Justice Emeka Nwite granted the release following the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s (EFCC) withdrawal, citing Gambaryan’s deteriorating health and diplomatic considerations.
Gambaryan had been detained for months, facing charges of tax evasion and money laundering involving over $34 million. His bail request had been rejected twice before.
The court struck out the charges, effectively ending the case against him, while trial for Binance continues.
