Former Cross River Governor Donald Duke has criticized President Bola Tinubu for acquiring a new presidential jet while many Nigerians struggle with hunger.
Duke described the purchase as a failure of leadership, arguing that a leader should prioritize the welfare of the people over luxury.
The new Airbus A330, intended to replace an older Boeing B737-700, was confirmed by a presidential aide, Bayo Onanuga, last week.
However, Duke condemned the move, asserting that a leader should see the nation as his family and avoid living lavishly while citizens suffer.
He also urged President Tinubu to hold security agencies accountable for the ongoing security challenges in the country.
