The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced the digitalization of its recruitment process for Examination Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) and the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) Internal and External.
This move aims to eliminate sharp malpractices and enhance efficiency and effective service delivery.
According to a statement by the Director, Information and Digital Communication, Azeez Sani, the digitalization has replaced the manual recruitment process, ensuring that supervisors’ nomination forms, appointment letters, and supervisors’ e-photo albums are generated online.
Additionally, the routine swapping of supervisors and assistant supervisors during examinations will now be done online.
The Council invites interested and qualified teachers with NCE, Degree Certificate, Master’s Degrees, PhD, and Professors to apply as Supervisors and Assistant Supervisors for BECE or SSCE Internal or External.
This digitalization effort aims to combat the fraud that characterized the manual recruitment process.
