EFCC Boosts Staff Welfare with Promotions, Insurance

The EFCC has approved the promotion of 900 staff, some waiting for up to seven years, and reinstated life and property insurance, inactive for two decades. 

Speaking at the 2024 Rewards and Recognition ceremony in Abuja, EFCC Chairman Ola Olukoyede announced these measures as part of efforts to improve staff welfare. 

Additionally, the EFCC delivered 84 apartments in Lekki to staff at cost price without interest, signaling a commitment to housing and well-being. Olukoyede stressed the importance of integrity among personnel and warned against shortcuts, saying ongoing internal reforms would spare no one. 

He highlighted the risks officers face, justifying efforts to enhance their welfare. Awards were presented during the event, including an SUV for the best staff of 2024 and cash prizes for outstanding performance. T

he Sokoto Zonal Directorate was recognized as the best directorate of the year. Olukoyede reaffirmed the EFCC’s commitment to staff welfare and urged personnel to uphold excellence and integrity in their work.
