Falana: Gbajabiamila Must Step Aside for Fraud Probe

Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has urged President Bola Tinubu’s Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, to step aside pending investigation into fraud allegations involving his office and the self-acclaimed Director General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Committee.

Falana argued that stepping aside would allow for a fair and unhindered probe. The allegations have rocked the presidency, with claims of financial impropriety running into millions of naira.

Falana warned that allowing the matter to linger would damage public trust in the administration. Gbajabiamila has not publicly responded to the calls.

Opposition parties have seized on the scandal, accusing the government of shielding corrupt officials. Civil society groups are also demanding a full inquiry.

The case adds to mounting corruption controversies plaguing the Tinubu administration.
