The FCT Administration’s City Management Team has demolished shanties at the Bureau De Change (BDC) headquarters in Zone 4, Abuja.
Led by Mukhtar Galadima, Director of the Department of Development Control, the team cited the shanties as hiding spots for suspected criminals, posing a security threat.
Galadima emphasized the need for BDC operators to work from designated areas, not makeshift setups.
Despite the area being under litigation, the cleanup aimed to enhance safety and cleanliness for Abuja residents, prioritizing security amidst legal complexities.
