The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has identified Bwari, Kuje, and Abaji as the area councils worst hit by kidnapping in Abuja.
Ebele Molokwu, the Director of Administration and Finance at the FCTA Security Services Department, revealed this during an end-of-year media briefing.
She mentioned that these councils share borders with states known for kidnapping, and when incidents occur, the perpetrators often retreat to those neighboring states.
The FCTA is actively working to address kidnapping and other security challenges in the territory, she assured.
Adamu Gwary, the Director of the Department, highlighted the restructuring of the security committee, involving both kinetic and non-kinetic approaches, including traditional rulers and stakeholders.
