The Federal Government reached an agreement with the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) and Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) aimed at enhancing power supply to 10 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
The Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and DisCos to achieve tangible results in improving power supply.
Challenges discussed included poor load allocation and vandalism. The agreement entails working closely with the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to address issues affecting power distribution efficiency.
