Federal Government Targets 80,000 Houses in 8-Year Housing Initiative

The Federal Government has announced its commitment to providing 80,000 houses over the next eight years as part of efforts to address the housing deficit in Nigeria.
Mahmuda Mamman, the Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, revealed this during the 12th meeting of the National Council on Lands, Housing, and Urban Development in Kaduna.
The initiative is aligned with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focusing on innovative approaches to bridge the housing gap. The social housing scheme aims to provide affordable housing for vulnerable individuals, contributing to the overall development of the housing sector.
Mamman emphasized the government’s dedication to implementing effective strategies for successful housing delivery.
