Federal Govt Hints at Doubling Minimum Wage for Workers

Presidential Spokesman, Ajuri Ngemela has hinted that the Tinubu administration is considering doubling the present minimum wage for workers in Nigeria.

In an interview with Channels TV, Ngelale outlined measures to mitigate the effects of subsidy removal, stating that the president is keen on raising the minimum wage.

He mentioned increased financial support to states and efforts to reduce the cost of food and energy through transportation and agriculture interventions.
