FG launches new foreign policy

The Federal Government of Nigeria has introduced a new foreign policy called the “4D foreign policy,” focusing on Democracy, Development, Demography, and Diaspora.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, launched the policy, emphasizing the importance of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law.
The second “D” focuses on removing impediments to development, fostering economic cooperation, and leveraging the Africa Continental Free Trade Area.

The demographic advantage of Nigeria’s youth population will be used to showcase talents in various fields, and the diaspora community is recognized as a significant contributor to the country’s development.
