FG Warns Nigerians of UK Protests Amid Violent Unrest

The Federal Government has issued a caution to Nigerian travelers heading to the United Kingdom due to escalating violence linked to recent protests.

This advisory follows the tragic killing of three young girls at a concert on July 29, 2024, which has intensified unrest in the UK.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the unrest has seen attacks on law enforcement and infrastructure, exacerbated by anti-immigration sentiments targeting Muslim immigrants.

The violence, described as the worst in 13 years, stems from wider Islamophobic and anti-migration sentiments, impacting public safety and increasing the risk of violence for travelers.
