Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara presented a N1.188 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year to the State House of Assembly, prioritizing key sectors like education, healthcare, and infrastructure development.
Dubbed the “Budget of Inclusive Growth and Development,” this budget aims to accelerate the state’s economic progress and improve the living standards of all residents.
With a significant allocation of over N63 billion for education and N97.75 billion for healthcare, the budget emphasizes improving access to quality education, strengthening healthcare infrastructure, and enhancing the state’s transportation network.
Furthermore, the budget includes initiatives to boost youth employment and empower women through the establishment of youth resource centers and support for local businesses.
