Several intending couples facing health issues during pre-marital screenings for Kano’s State mass wedding.
According to the state’s Hisbah, some people were found with health concerns including Hepatitis B, HIV, sickle cell, and pregnancies.
He said replacements were made, and counseling along with medication provided would be provided to those with some health challenges.
It would be recalled that the state government had allocated about N854 million for the mass wedding of over 1,800 couples.
Mass weddings was originally introduced in Kano during Senator Kwankwaso ‘s-led administration.
