Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Egbetokun has initiated a significant restructuring, redeploying 40 senior police officers, including 14 Assistant Inspectors General of Police and 26 Commissioners of Police.
The move according to the force PRO, is part of efforts to ensure a professionally competent, rule of law compliant, and people-friendly police force.
The reshuffling is also seen as a strategic measure ahead of upcoming governorship elections in Kogi, Imo, and Bayelsa states.
