A raging fire has engulfed the Dan’agundi Transmission Station in Kano, a critical hub in the city’s electricity supply network.
The inferno inflicted severe damage on high-performance transformers, impairing the station’s operational capacity.
Though the extent of the damage remains under assessment, initial reports indicate that two transformers have been affected, while others remain operational.
Officials from the Kano Transmission Company (TCN) are working tirelessly to contain the blaze and mitigate its impact on power transmission to Kano and its environs.
Despite this setback, efforts are underway to restore normalcy to the electricity supply system.
