Governor Umar Namadi of Jigawa State has approved a N1 million subsidy for each prospective pilgrim from the state participating in this year’s Hajj pilgrimage.
The subsidy comes in response to the recent hike in Hajj fares by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), aimed at alleviating the financial burden on pilgrims.
Intending pilgrims are urged to remit the remaining balance to the Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board, as the state government endeavors to facilitate a smooth and affordable Hajj experience for its citizens.
