Kano Nurses Issue 15-Day Strike Notice Over Unmet Demands

Nurses and midwives in Kano State have issued a 15-day strike ultimatum to the government over unresolved demands, including hazard allowance adjustments and salary reviews.

The National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) warned that failure to meet their demands would result in the withdrawal of services across all healthcare facilities.

The association, frustrated by the government’s inaction since early 2024, emphasized that a strike would disrupt critical healthcare services. The state government has yet to respond to the notice.
