Lagos Airfield Shut Temporarily After MMIA Fire Disrupts Flights

Flight operations at Lagos airfield were temporarily suspended following the fire incident at Murtala Muhammed International Airport, causing delays across multiple routes.

Air Peace said airport authorities closed the airfield to enable emergency responders to secure the facility and protect passengers. 

The airline confirmed that inbound and outbound flights experienced delays pending restoration of normal operations.

Airport management earlier confirmed that no casualties were recorded, while airlines continue to monitor developments and provide updates to affected travellers.
