Dr. Olufemi Olaleye, the Medical Director of the Optimal Cancer Care Foundation, has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping his wife’s niece. Justice Rahman Oshodi of the Ikeja Sexual Offenses and Domestic Violence Court delivered the verdict.
The judge found the victim’s testimony and the medical professional’s examination credible.
He also cited Olaleye’s confessional statement and exchange of WhatsApp and email messages as evidence against him.
Olaleye was charged with defilement and sexual assault by penetration of his wife’s niece, and the prosecution proved its case beyond reasonable doubt.
