The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN) has condemned the killing of Fulani herders in Tanda village, Jema’a LGA of Kaduna State, demanding justice and compensation for the victims.
According to the group’s chairman, Alhaji Abdulhamid Musa Albarka, the attack was a “premeditated assault,” not a clash.
He said one herder, Suleiman Idris, was killed, while three others—Yusuf Abdullahi, Hamidu Dauda, and Ibrahim Hassan—sustained severe injuries after being ambushed by armed militias.
Their cattle were reportedly dispersed into the wilderness. MACBAN accused authorities of ignoring prior warnings and failing to protect the herders.
“This was a targeted act to destroy livelihoods. The families of the victims deserve justice and compensation. Anything less is betrayal,” Albarka said. He urged government intervention to restore confidence and prevent further reprisals.
