In a recent operation, troops of Operation Delta Safe has successfully dismantled 50 illegal oil refining sites in the Niger Delta region, apprehending 51 suspects.
The mission also led to the elimination of four criminals and the recovery of stolen crude oil, illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil, and dual-purpose kerosene.
Equipment used in illegal refining activities, including boats, storage tanks, and vehicles, were destroyed during the military Operations aimed at curbing illicit oil-related operations in the area.
