NADECO Warns Against Suppression of Protests

The National Democratic Coalition (NADECO) in the United States has issued a warning against any attempt to suppress the upcoming nationwide protest scheduled for August 1.

Dr. Lloyd Ukwu, NADECO’s President, stressed that suppressing the protest could undermine democratic principles and set a dangerous precedent.

NADECO supports peaceful demonstrations and encourages the international community to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of participants.

Ukwu emphasized that protests are a fundamental right and recalled past instances where protests played a crucial role in advocating for change. He urged the Nigerian government to respect citizens’ rights and engage in constructive dialogue.
