The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has strongly condemned the recent statement by the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Olu Olukoyede, alleging that a majority of Nigerian students are involved in fraudulent activities.
NANS Senate President, Comrade Akinteye Afeez, called the claim an “unsubstantiated generalization” that unfairly tarnishes the reputation of hardworking students.
NANS has demanded that the EFCC Chairman provide evidence for his claim or retract his statement, emphasizing the principle of “innocence until proven guilty.”
