The NDLEA has arrested Egwu Phillip Inya, a suspected drug trafficker, for attempting to retrieve 7.4kg of cannabis-laced “Loud” concealed in pressure machines imported from South Africa.
Egwu was apprehended in Enugu following a surveillance operation. In separate operations, the NDLEA seized over 1,300kg of cannabis, 511,000 tramadol pills, and other illicit drugs across various states.
NDLEA Chairman, Brig. Gen. Buba Marwa, commended the agency’s successes and emphasized its dual approach of enforcement and public sensitization under the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) initiative.
