NSCDC Deploys Over 28,000 Operatives for Heightened Yuletide Security

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 28,300 tactical operatives nationwide to ensure security and protect critical national assets and infrastructure during the Christmas and New Year celebrations. 

Commandant General Ahmed Abubakar Audi directed all zonal and state commandants to enhance intelligence gathering and warned against any vandalism of critical infrastructure. 

The deployed operatives are drawn from various specialized units, including special forces, intelligence, anti-vandal, and operations departments. 

The NSCDC will closely monitor identified flashpoints, recreational centers, religious gatherings, motor parks, shopping malls, and other key areas. 

This increased deployment aims to proactively address potential security threats during the festive season.
