The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig Gen Yusha’u Ahmed, has issued a stern warning to corps members against traveling at night during their service year.
Speaking at the NYSC FCT Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja, Ahmed emphasized that most cases of corps members being kidnapped occur during night travel.
He urged them to avoid traveling after 6 pm and advised them to find safe places like military barracks or police stations to spend the night if necessary.
The NYSC DG also reminded corps members to adhere strictly to the scheme’s bye-laws, emphasizing discipline and security awareness throughout their service year.
