PDP BoT Urges President Tinubu to Tackle Economic Hardship

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) called on President Bola Tinubu to address the economic challenges plaguing Nigeria.

Former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, confirmed as BoT chairman, emphasized this during the 76th meeting in Abuja. The BoT urged action on high petrol prices, inflation, unemployment, insecurity, and the devaluation of the Naira.

Concerned about the Naira’s decline to N1,500 against the Dollar, they also noted the worrisome rise in petrol prices to about N700 per litre. Despite challenges, Wabara assured the PDP’s commitment to Nigerians’ welfare and unity. He urged the party to remain united and focused for the tasks ahead.

Additionally, Wabara confirmed his appointment as Chairman, with Sen. Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi as Secretary, in line with the PDP’s Constitution.
