The Osun State Police Command has arrested one Prince Eniola Oyeyode in connection with the fatal shooting of United States-based Prof. Richard Idowu (Ade Ori Okin) in Ejigbo town.
The incident occurred after the 50th coronation anniversary of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, where Prince Eniola Oyeyode allegedly instructed his civilian guard to fire a gun into the air, but the guard shot the victim instead.
The victim was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead. Governor Ademola Adeleke has ordered an investigation into the killing and subsequent lynching of the shooter, urging families not to take the law into their hands.
