The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has declared that Nigeria cannot recover from its current challenges unless President Bola Tinubu is voted out in 2027.
Speaking on Politics Today on Channels Television, ADC spokesperson Bolaji Abdullahi described the Tinubu administration as incapable of addressing Nigeria’s deepening governance crisis.
“There is no scenario where he remains in power and this country is saved,” Abdullahi said, accusing the government of operating with what he termed a “bandit mentality.”
He also raised alarm over alleged manipulation of legislation, particularly tax laws, claiming that forged versions of bills already passed by the National Assembly were being circulated.
Abdullahi further questioned the transparency surrounding reports that $9 million was paid to foreign lobbyists in the United States, asking how the contract was awarded and funded.
According to him, the money would have been better spent addressing Nigeria’s worsening insecurity rather than polishing the country’s image abroad. He also criticised a reported Nigeria–US medical agreement, warning that it could undermine sovereignty and accountability.
