APC Chieftain Warns Against Ignoring El-Rufai

APC chieftain Joe Igbokwe has warned that sidelining former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai is a costly mistake for the ruling party.

He described El-Rufai as a critical figure in APC’s success, particularly for opposing ex-CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele’s “dubious” cash policy during the 2023 elections.

Igbokwe criticized the Senate’s rejection of El-Rufai’s ministerial nomination, attributing it to political interference.

“How can someone of his caliber be sidelined while others with lesser credentials get approved?” he asked.

Igbokwe cautioned that if El-Rufai is pushed away, he may align with the opposition, weakening APC’s stronghold.

Calling El-Rufai a “stormy petrel” with unmatched capability, he urged party leaders to reconcile with him before it’s too late.
